WATCH: This Talk Will Make You Question How Much You Really Know About Everything

It is easy for anyone to draw conclusion based on a single story of an event or a people. But we, as liberals, who proudly profess our open mindedness for new ideas, views and methods must guard against being so easily swooned. This TED talk advices of the danger of a single story particularly about people that are different from us.

Stories make us who we are. In this inspiring talk, writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie beautifully conveys the importance of seeking out many stories from different points of view to form our understanding of the world. TED Weekends has brought you more than 100 stories since it began in 2012. This is our final edition, but it's not the ending; discover more stories, and share your own, at TED.com.
