I've never been much of a jewelry fan, so I have some real problems understanding why a shiny little carbon rock is worth $160K. But if that is what someone is willing to pay, then that is what it is worth.
But not to Walter Morrison. I hope for his sake, that was some super amazing green, considering he lost his job and likely his freedom over 2 joints.

(18,402 posts)1. The thief who traded a $160,000 diamond for a couple of joints
2. The really goofy looking reporter who pulls out a white Mercedes to try to make a cute story but just looks as dumb as the thief
3. Or whoever sent a $160,000 diamond via UPS--where the maximum insured value available for a package or letter is $50,000.
I vote for number 3: the idiot (or criminal?) who tried to send a $160,000 diamond via UPS. Something is very wrong with this whole story.

(27,461 posts)he gives us a prop Mercedes, and goes to a jewelry expert to explain that 160,000 is an expensive diamond, but doesn't tell us basic facts about the story like who has the diamond now and how they know about the drug sale.
