Scoop on one Nathan L. GONZALES/Rothenberg? Of the Ruben NAVARRETTE ilk or credible?
What set me off on this inquiry was a WaPo item quoting this Nathan L. dude as a leading independent handicapper whom Id never heard of, and we all know if *I* havent heard of them they aint nobody. So I googled and was surprised to see *this* pic:
But apparently that aint him. Apparently that pic is associated with the Rothenberg dude because hes a contestant on Survivor and there is (another?) Nathan GONZALES on Survivor. So apparently *this* is the Rothenberg dude:
There is no Wiki on him. The only profiles are in his congratulatory bios in his different venues. I was prepared to find some parallels to the non-traditional (= non-representative of his ethnic group) NAVARRETTE or else a connection to the Rethug/CIA/Cuban Exile generation, but his blurbs just say he hails from Oregon, and that hes guested on all the cable and network outlets, not, say, limited to Faux.
The WaPo link is below, but its not my focus here, just want to get a fix on this GONZALES and Rothenberg. As a lifelong Dem voter I'm too familiar with big losses, but want to know who is doing the predicting -- a partisan operative or somebody approximating objectivity? Like when I complained to my 90-something yr old aunt about my (former) doctor's crude manner in breaking news and she said, "Sweetie, he was very rude to you, but he was telling you the truth!1"

How big could the House Republican majority get in November? Maybe the biggest its been in 85 years.[/font]
By Philip Bump
In an update on Friday afternoon, one of the country's leading independent political handicappers broadened its assessment of how many House seats Republicans are likely to win this fall. "Regardless of whether you want to call it a wave," wrote the Rothenberg Political Report's Nathan Gonzales -- the sort of qualifier that will keep Democratic operatives up at night -- "the fight for the House continues to creep into Democratic territory." ....
