I don't know what you're specifically referring to. I'm speaking generally. And I've seen that term used far too often to tell people to stop fighting because that's what "they", presumably meaning some higher power, want. I don't agree with that. If something is worth fighting for, why should I concern myself with what they want? I can't be concerned with both things at the same time? I can't help but wonder what the motives are for the person insisting on quieting the dissent. Again, I'm speaking generally.

divide and conquer is one of the oldest and presumably most effective methods of crowd control.
it is.
and you can see it at work right here, every day.
I just saw the most basic examples following each other
for no other reason I can imagine.
