(3,174 posts)They can't think of a way to perpetuate their discrimination against gays and lesbians, so they ducked and did the least amount of work possible. They could have invalidated all constitutional prohibitions and cleaned up the patchy and embarrassing differences between State's treatment of out-of-state marriages, but no! We have to expend more energy, more money and more time to get this massive injustice reversed.

(22,000 posts)I believe that their ducking and weaving could be them just waiting for the right case to come before the court to pull a 5-4 ruling. In other words, I don't trust them farther than I can throw them.
