Most people knew him as the man on the "Un-Cola" ads for 7-Up in the 70s. Or as Baron Samedi in "Live and Let Die," but he was an extraordinary dancer, choreographer and painter. He choreographed the broadway version of "The Wiz," for which he won a Tony.
And Sweet Jesus, that voice. That voice. But here he is in his young, beautiful dancer days.
Cross easy. The world is far more empty without you.

(43,850 posts)Actually Baron Samedi is a favorite voodoo lua, also known as Papa Legba. He's the head honcho in the spirit world. Holder was fond of him, and played him more than once. This was a delight!

(1,066 posts)He had a funny role in the movie Boomerang as well. I always loved his 7up commercials. The scene at the end of Live and let Die with him on the front of the train was cool. He also did Starburst commercials as well.
