The GOP cuts it's losses in Michigan senate race.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has cut the last of its TV advertising that it reserved for Republican candidate Terri Lynn Land in the Michigan race for U.S. Senate, according to The Hill.

The independent expenditure arm for the NRSC has decided to cut its remaining television reservations in the race meaning it is pulling over $850,000 out of Michigan.

It's yet another sign of how a race that Republicans once touted as a potential pickup has slipped through their fingers. Polling has shown Rep. Gary Peters (MI), the Democratic nominee in the race, leading Land.

Republicans stressed to The Hill that the move was not really a sign of Republicans calling it quits, rather it was just a reallocation of resources because of Land's strong ground game as well as her fundraising.

The TPM Polltracker gives Peters a 9.1 point lead over Land.
