I have immediate family who deal with bloody bodily fluid messes almost every day.

I quit that business years ago. The viruses I deal with now only infect computers.

Anything that can go wrong with a human body, they've probably seen it.

Measles, Mumps, AIDS, TB, Hepatitis, Polio, Leprosy...

For now I think the antibiotic resistant tuberculosis or "flesh eating bacteria" still scare me the most.

Years ago I used to work in a medical lab with raw blood. When I started the job we were quit casual, gloves and safety glasses. A few people didn't even wear lab coats. As the AIDS crisis progressed we were wearing full face shields and responding to every torn glove as potential catastrophe.
