(14,449 posts)The republicans complained that Michelle worked in a hospital making 300K and GOP complained. Show this story to national media.
In what way would that not validate the point they were trying to make?

(16,254 posts)did she settle for what she could get?
Actually, did she really show up for work or "sell" her name/position as wife of CC?

(77,758 posts)When questioned about his various Shrubs/spawn's shady activities in the family tradition of feeding at the public trough:
Some of these events might have happened after Poppy's outburst, but the family propensities remain the same:
* Shrub starting failed businesses that later get sold for outsized profits, while the SEC investigates or stands by.
* Jeb Crow Shrub, with CubanExile/CIA partners running MediCARE-scam businesses, involving boarding private planes with suitcases full of cash.
* Neil Shrub wrecking the Savings & Loans and getting bailed out by the taxpayers.
* Jeb Crow Shrub and Neil Shrub running "education" program scams with the government institutionalizing (= cash) them into the schools.
* Most of the B.F.E.E., in one way or another, living off the public treasure.
And we don't even *know* the rest of the iceberg.

Can they investigate whose firms are the clients?
But since they're still investigating bridgegate . . .

(60,958 posts)I wonder if the CF money is actually a pension or some kind of profit sharing from her time there still owed her after leaving to go to the other firm.
Her high pay - like that of many Wall Street top people - is unbelievably high. They are a large part of the 1% or near 1%.
As her high level positions predate his position as governor, I don't think this is someone using her to "repay" her husband. In fact, had a female governor (either party) had a high paid spouse would anyone question it? Wall Street is not regulated by the state of NJ - so there is less potential for complicity than when the spouse is a lawyer in the state where the other spouse is governor.

(27,625 posts)You are absolutely correct in that husbands of politicians are rarely spotlighted . But when thye are, it always seems to be Democratic ones. i.e.; Dianne Feinstein, Nancy Pelosi and Geraldine Ferraro.

(16,296 posts)that makes it 1,500 hrs. of "work" (giving her two weeks off for rest) and at 500k/year that comes out to $333.33 per hour. Nice, I'm sure she earned every penny. Then , again, as pointed out in another post, she probably didn't qualify for "benefits".
You know, since she is just "part-time". Fuckin' unbelievable.
