9. good for them. Opposed to the hundreds and hundreds of GOP filibusters

I think "don't use" is fair. Not that they should have filibustered. We need a new way to conduct business that isn't rooted in Southern slavery and aristocracy.

And if the Republicans take control of the U.S. Senate, they will do what Harry Reid didn't have the guts to do -- end the filibuster as it is now practiced.

Image how many pieces of progressive legislation would have passed the Senate if not for Republican filibusters.

Of course, if the Republicans are in charge, every bill that passes the House will pass the Senate with 51+ votes and be sent to Pres. Obama for his veto.

Then it will be the Tea Party-Republicans screaming about "the President's obstructionism." Since the Republicans have no shame, the hypocrisy won't phase them one bit.

Frankly, if the Senate Democrats had enacted real filibuster reform in January 2013, they might not be in so much difficulty now.

18. The ones I am more upset about are the judges and administration positions

We would have a Surgeon General if those blocking rules had been eliminated. The huge backlog of Judges would have been dealt with by now. The 'elimination' of the filibuster only cut out one tactic, while leaving many other delaying/obstructing tactics in place.

And elleng posted a rebuttal.

Let's go find the rebuttal for this and maybe someone will have MIRT take a look at the very new 'DU Oper'.

It is sad that they have an agenda to help the GOP, but all M$M does that...they all report to the same paymaster.

The article you linked to is from their open blog area. It doesn't expresses the opinion of the Washington Post. Rather it reflects the opinion of the blogger who wrote this nonsense.

It's good to know what you're reading and what its source is. It appears that you know neither.
