Too soon to know, but I'm guessing this has something to do with Canada's decision to join the US led airstrikes against ISIL.
If so, the shit has gotten real.

the two soldiers were attacked in Montreal on the weekend, in the ring ups with the family there, we all feel these are directly related to the governments decision to join the coalition fight against ISIL.

the US seems to have plenty of partners flying airstrikes, Great Britain, Australia, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, etc, even Russia may join the coalition, maybe Canada should sit this one out.
Just a thought, what do you and your relates think?

president over the former. Our commitment would be very limited because our forces are very small. But, the size is not the issue because the more countries who give their support to this fight against ISIL the louder and stronger the message being sent to the thugs.

If it hadn't been this issue that brought ISIL into attacking on our soil it would have been some other fabricated reason. They pull rationale for their thuggery out of their asses at will.

It really sucks.

Hopefully this won't lead to massive fear mongering.

And will lead to better intelligence efforts that don't compromise privacy.

My thoughts are for the safety of your daughter and anyone at all in harm's way.

Ottawa and they are on a conference call which started 7:30 this morning and then about 45 minutes into the meeting the Parliament incident started. She was reporting to me what her team in Ottawa were reporting. Sorry for my lack of clarity.

URGENT - NORAD alert

In response to the ongoing situation at Canada's Parliament, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, has increased its alert posture, CNN has learned. That means that it has increased the number of planes on a higher alert status ready to respond if needed. NORAD and Canadian law enforcement and Canadian authorities are in contact, an official told CNN.
