In contrast, your Royals used up all their goodness.

They wasted 9 runs, NINE runs when they only needed one to win.

Now they got nothin' left!

for the final two games, they've gone on to win the Series 18 out of the 20.

You just can't discount home field advantage.

Been a good series. I hope tomorrow night's game is a little more competitive.

Why else would we just stand around and not score at all?

Meanwhile, KRON4 reported this morning that the parade floats are being brought out of storage and gussied up for Thursday's parade.

Of course the Royals have them too.

Just like the Cardinals did.

I wonder what the losing teams do with all that swag, post game?

It's a good way to make them useful. 2008 Tampa Bay lost:

but I did watch the last two innings of the first game. You could not tell from the fans that they were losing that game.

And I just got off the phone with my sister in Overland Park, Kansas, and she's telling me that the entire metro area is behind the team in a totally amazing way. My younger son took time off from work and flew to Kansas City for the Series-- he even got to attend game 2.

I just wish I could be there tomorrow.
