They're spending $1.6 million in Oregon this year to defeat labeling. It's unknown how that will turn out, but rural turnout is said to be very high.

They're also spending $4.7 million in Colorado and the outcome is uncertain.

They've spent $27.5 million this year alone to influence voters.

They spent $70 million in WA and CA to defeat a popular initiative with 3 weeks of intense media buying.

Numbers from link:

http://www.commondreams.org/news/2014/10/03/here-we-go-again-monsanto-spends-millions-defeat-states-gmo-labeling-effort

A lot of money. How much money do they expect to make in return it leaves one to wonder...

And this isn't even the Koch money being used. How about that...

GMOs have done a lot more good than bad for the environment, according the vast majority of scientific studies.

The bans weren't based on their scientific communities. The bans have been based on politics. The anti-science fear mongering has been working well on many people.

...unless you are lacking on actual facts.

There are literally hundreds of studies that have been done by universities and foreign governments.

You'd have to think that just about everybody who could possibly do a study is bought off to believe what you just said.

GMOs have been around for nearly 20 years now. Can you cite an example of a location they have done the kind of damage you alluded to in your image?

You just posted a propaganda poster that doesn't cite a single source while arguing against a herbicide that has been tested for decades in the United States.

GMOs have been around for nearly 20 years now. Can you cite an example of a location they have done the kind of damage you alluded to in your original image or are just using scaremonger type tactics?

Of course, the actual studies don't make the alarmist claims of the political bull shit but still, that's a HUGE step for an anti-GMO'er.
