Clarinetist Acker Bilk dead at 85

The jazz artist was born in England and rose to fame in the 1950s and 60s. He is survived by his wife and two children.

My brother visited me this weekend, and we hummed and sang. My radio was wacko, due to winds, I think, but he did play some (Tony Bennett.)

4. I played clarinet as a youngster - I don't happen to

recall this musician, but I ALWAYS hear the clarinet solo in any piece of music - I guess it's kind of the same for anyone who played any other string or wind or brass instrument.

RIP, fellow clarinetist.
