16. I'm a hospice nurse. I watch people die from liver failure

from side effects from medications. Sometimes we don't control pain as well as we would like. But, they have pain meds. They have their loved ones with them. They usually are not alone. Some of my patients are indigent. No insurance.

I have patients who come from Mexico and tell about children missing and their mutilated bodies returned to their parents. Eyes missing. Absolutely horrible stories. Not just from one family. There is a pattern. For some reason if people come from Mexico we never call them refugees.

That's not to say some of the things drug companies do aren't awful and full of greed. It's just not the same as the mexican drug cartels.

This old country for many many years,I served when I was called, my brothers and many of my friends also, served and some of them died,my father died for this country. I never thought I would see the day that we forsook our heritage as bad as has happened the last few years... if I were younger I would leave now before it gets too bad but I am past that stage now and will just have to sit and watch what little we have left go down the drain..Makes me physically ill to see it.
