idea for fighting income inequality

What about a law that requires CEOs who raise their salaries to raise their frontline workers by the same percentage. So when the fat cats raise the salary from 10 million to 30 million, his ten dollar an hour employee's pay gos to 30.

Just a thought.

First of all top level CEOs receive compensation beyond their salaries - preferred stock, stock options, and bonuses. Secondly CEOs generally don't give themselves raises unless they own the company - some board of directors votes for the compensation package - so it would have to be rewarded to include that.

And yeah. I am throwing it out as a general idea. Hoping for a good discussion on how those details would have to be worked out.
