NYT: U.S. to Send 1,500 More Troops to Iraq

WASHINGTON — President Obama has authorized the deployment of an additional 1,500 American troops to Iraq in the coming months, the Defense Department said on Friday, a move that will double the number of those sent to advise and assist Iraqi and Kurdish forces in the battle against the Islamic State.

........

In addition, the White House Budget Office said it would ask Congress for $5.6 billion for overseas contingency operations, including $1.6 billion to train and equip Iraqi troops.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/08/world/middleeast/us-to-send-1500-more-troops-to-iraq.html?_r=2

.........

Those who said we wouldn't escalate, please retract now.

Remember, we just had to cut 8.6 billion from starving children in this country just last February.

And some wonder why we lost the election... and what the agenda will be.... In a word, neo-con.

The war in the Middle East has been raging for 1400 years. We can't win.

The war is draining our treasury and a detriment to our troops.

Call your Rep's to get us out of this quagmire.

I don't have time for "THE LIST."

I'll just put it out there. Someone else might have it Archived to post the betrayals of his Promises.

But...yes...I know. "He couldn't do "Anything" because the Repubs were after him from the Beginning because he was a "Muslim/Socialist who was born in Kenya...and we Hate Him because of the "Color of his Skin."

So.....Why did we elect him if he couldn't "DO ANYTHING" because the REPUBLICAN RACISTS would TRASH & BLOCK HIM?

He HAD A MANDATE..........Lost.

But the heads of every Big Industry out there owe him big time, and the honorarium fees he receives once he puts this Oval Office behind him will make every penny that Bill and Hillary Clinton have received for their speechifying look like chump change.

His speeches will easily bring him some 500 million bucks or more.

It's drained. Borrowing money to "train Iraqi troops", clusterbombing civilians, endless war here and there.

A nation of debt slaves, is what is left.

Didn't take that long either. The people that will complain the loudest haven't even been born yet.

In addition, the White House Budget Office said it would ask Congress for $5.6 billion for overseas contingency operations,

Few cared even a little when Victoria Nuland, the wife of PNAC founder Kagan, bragged about dropping $5 bil on Ukraine. Why start now?

It all could have been so much different. Ultimately, the blame goes to the people that allowed this to happen.

It's almost as though the Third Wayers have some strange, selective visual disorder that makes it impossible for them to see these threads about the actual policies of corporate Democrats.

Ask almost anybody in the world. Vietnam, Chile, Cuba, Iraq, Pakistan etc. etc. etc. etc. Our only solution to any problem. Well that and tax cuts for the obscenely rich and corporations. Hillary will ride the empire into the dirt if it lasts that long.
