RW co-worker (via Fox News) on the Great and Powerful Obama!!

We were having a conversation about something completely different when it took a strange turn:

"The reason we don't hear anything about Ebola or ISIS is because the election is over. Same reason gas prices are going back up"

Me: "Huh? You think the Ebola and ISIS scares were GOOD for The President?!"

"Sure, he rules by fear... that and all the Executive Orders"

As politely as possible I let her know the record low number of EO's by Obama and then informed her that since Fox News is #1 in ratings all the news outlets follow them down rabbit holes.

"Fox News is the only relevant and reliable news. The rest just do what he orders the to do"

I must have missed this one. Apparently Fox News is telling their believers that they aren't reporting something because no one else is because of orders from the Great and Powerful Obama.

That was a Monday morning brain scrambler.

8. Frankly - this is getting serious

I know of many people like this and it is actually getting scary. They are wound up and adrenalized with hate. I get emails from a couple people about the horrible things Obama is doing. I look into the issue and get back to the sender with the info usually found in Snopes that says the info is a hoax, false rumor or flat out lie.

I just had to do this with a man who told me Obama gave our national parks to China. (Hoax started by Hal Turner) But the man who told me this looked like he was ready to hit me when I said I did not believe it to be true. He had previously told me that there was going to be a civil war in this country with citizens killing each other.

But he is not unusual. Most of us can count among family and friends, people who have been pushed into seriously deranged thinking and behavior by the RW media. It is tearing apart our society.

My take on what I heard this morning is that Fox News is covering for their 180 by making the lack of their scare as the new scare.

You have to jump through some serious hoops to get in that clown car.
