I don't know about you, but I heard more about the BUSH FAMILY today than I heard about VETERANS.
I usually leave MSNBC on in the background strictly for background noise and had to turn it off today. Couldn't take it. I watch "The Voice" so I had the local NBC station on in advance of that. The "Jenna Interview" was shown THERE so I turned the TV off until it was over.
Pretty smart of them, picking a high-profile day like Veterans Day to sell their revisionist swill.

"Um" indeed. I know who he is and what he is. It's fucking VETERANS DAY, not designed for ONE man or woman to step up and be honored. If he had ANY respect for the world outside of his clan he would have known that and acted accordingly.

(18,837 posts)Shown over and over and over again today. And it showed up elsewhere. It is NOT a segment honoring Poppy Bush for Military service. It is an INFOMERCIAL to pimp Junior's ghost written book on Poppy Bush, to re-write the history of the Bush family, PERHAPS to pave the way for a Jeb run in 2016, and as I have said elsewhere, REGARDLESS of Bush's status as a Veteran, for him to step into the spotlight and suck all of the oxygen out of the room was incredibly distasteful and insensitive...even for a Bush.

It will actually get worse tomorrow - NPR played a preview of "part 2" of their Morning Edition interview this afternoon. He actually tried to suggest that things were going really well in Iraq until Obama took office.
