A large portion of the audience erupted with loud approval several times during the interview.

Colbert was obviously very pleased.

My thought (maybe unreasonable) was that Sanders will announce his candidacy on Colbert's upcoming network TV gig. I'm looking forward to his announcement, wherever it happens.

... he changes his party to Democrat and declares his candidacy, all on the same day, and that he is the first to enter the race. Yeah, if the Corporate Media shuns him, he can just be a frequent guest of Stephen Colbert's Late Show.
