(14,691 posts)from comments on other sites, DemocRAT is a pejorative term used by the right wing. I would have voted to hide it too.

(38,613 posts)If someone posted the jury results, that might help, but otherwise nobody will know. And just because a post is sarcastic doesn't mean it's not a TOS violation.

Explanation: Sounds republican but it reads sarcasm

(14,400 posts)and the members of the jury were too lazy to look for context. I use the term lazy because I really hope they weren't so stupid as to not get it if they read it.

(43,867 posts)the title parodied the Republican meme of 'RATS' and immigrants being Democratic voters. The post content was 100% true.

(1,186 posts)I guess some people are far too thin skinned around here. I didn't think I needed a but at least juror 5 and 6 get it.

Captain Stern
(2,199 posts)So many people just don't 'get' sarcasm. Which is ok, but it annoys me that so many people don't even try to get it.
Personally, I hate that it's gotten to where people feel the need to post the dripping red sarcasm icon.....that ruins the joke.
Here's basically what the sarcasm icon means:
"What I just posted was sarcasm. I'm letting everyone know this, because I know there are people out there that will take it seriously because they are too stupid, or humor-impaired to understand it."

Positive threads about Democratic Underground or its members are are permitted.
Threads complaining about Democratic Underground or its members; threads complaining about jury decisions, locked threads, suspensions, bannings, or the like; and threads intended to disrupt or negatively influence the normal workings of Democratic Underground and its community moderating system are not permitted.
