is really expensive to produce. And cheap oil and gas put pressure on the development of renewables.

Of course, if the price of oil and gas was still really high I would be complaining about that too even though it made the fracking, tar sands and renewable producers happy. It seems to me that the price cannot go much lower without curtailing fracking and tar sands oil production (which would be a good thing) which would cut the supply and probably prevent further decline in the price.

Mostly though it's common to see it between $2.83 and $2.89.

Still Ok with me compared to not too long ago when it was $3.96.

I haven't been paying close attention to it but I think there has been a bit of an up-tick in diesel in WI.

That's at both Costco and BJ's. Most non-member stations are about 10 to 15 cents higher for cash prices. CT allows different pricing for credit, and those are usually another 8 to 10 cents per gallon higher. Downside is that many don't differentiate between paying with a debit card or credit card. From what I've seen, a few stations will honor the cash price if you go inside to pay rather than paying at the pump. Many others won't.

The past few weeks my van has been full as it can be, because I keep topping it off afraid the prices will rise again! I don't drive much in a week.

But even in the cold weather, I still am not warming my car up much before i head out. No matter the price of gas, it's still the same amount of pollution!

TPTB's attempt to hurt Russia. Normally gas prices should be going up with instability in Iraq, Venezuela, Nigeria and Syria. I bet serious dollars that it goes back up once the big bear has been caged.
