Here in Snoqualmie, I can easily pick up signals from the CBC and CTV stations in Vancouver, BC. I've also been watching BBC on satellite, as well as Al Jazeera English and the Australian Brouadcasting Corporation.
They're shitting all over us, and they're a hundred percent right in doing so.
NOTE: The picture below was not a photo of Ferguson last night. I googled "upside-down US flag on fire" to communicate my rage, and this is the closest to that I could find. My sincere apologies to those to got the wrong idea: I should have been more clear.

(6,342 posts)America was never a leader in human rights.
Our history is just as bloody as anyone else we criticize. We are not special. We've had race problems and violence since the founding of the country. We have more people in prison than China and Russia combined. And we are one of the top 5 countries in the world who still execute people...along with Saudi Arabia, China, Iran, and Iraq.

It's happened time and time again and never amounts to anything because the rioters simply look criminal when it's over.
Unless a real leader arises to take charge of things I don't think anything is going to change.
