I love my TiVo ...

I was watching the MHP Show and her segment about the protests in NY Friday at Macys.

And in the crowd, I thought I saw ... marching and chanting, with his hands up was Mos Def!

I ran it back and Yep, it was him. Or if not, that guy better hope Mos Def doesn't commit a crime, Mos Def better hope that guy doesn't ... cuz the wrong one would be going to jail.

But I try never to miss MHP, watching it right now (well, actually on commercial this very second). If I had to rate the MSNBC hosts, she'd be tops of the list.

keep unabashedly addressing the ways in which America is in no way post-racial, and to let white folks have a window on an ongoing basis to try and move past our unconscious blinders.

When I run up against the posters who keep on insisting we 'focus too much on race', or that there 'is no racial component' to X, Y, or Z, I really wish they would simply start watching her show.

insisting we 'focus too much on race', or that there 'is no racial component' to X, Y, or Z ... think MHP is a race hustler/baiter ...If she would just stop talking about race stuff, the problem will just go away.

And as we've seen here at DU, calling out racism/racist comments/conduct is far worse than the racism/racist comments/conduct.

MHP has a way of getting right down to it, and quick.

If you were to force a group of fox viewers to watch her, they would become enraged at almost everything she says.

The reason for this is she tells the truth and a fox viewer has not heard the truth in so long it infuriates them when they hear it.
