Arizona pastor: how to cure AIDS? Stone gays to death

Warning: some graphic language at link.

http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2014/12/03/arizona-pastor-we-could-cure-aids-by-christmas-if-we-stone-homos-to-death/

From the article:

A Christian pastor has claimed that the world could be cured of AIDS “by Christmas” if “homos” were stoned to death.

Pastor Steven Anderson of the Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, Arizona made the disturbing claim last week, in a sermon ahead of World AIDS Day.

It's a real shame to teach your children to hate.

who reportedly said something like "burn this shit down", and is reportedly being considered for arrest and prosecution?

Is the First Amendment being used as a legal shield by Christians to terrorize other citizens?

stepfather. I asked if you thought context might have something to do with it--you know, michael brown being murdered by a white cop, a grand jury refusing to indict, etc., etc. what harm, exactly, has anderson encountered from gays?

You seem to be saying that Michael Brown's stepfather having had a relative killed by police and refusing to accept the grand jury decision in the case somehow makes a critical difference in the calls to have him arrested. I'm still not "getting it" as being relevant.

I haven't a clue what harm the "pastor" has encountered from gays. However, many Christians are on record as stating extreme hatred towards gays, as well as their religion being a "persecuted minority" (which is not true in the U.S., but appears to be elsewhere in the world)

The comment that this pastor made seems to be a form of terroristic threatening, given that gays are reportedly literally being stoned in some areas of the world in the same general timespan.

Unfortunately, we'll have to put up with their utter stupidity until then.
