Charles Barkley: I Don’t Know if Slavery Was Worst Thing Ever

A couple of things, first off Slavery was pretty damn bad. It was one of the worst things ever and will always be one of the worst things ever. If Barkley’s knowledge of slavery is only what his grandmother told him, I suggest he starts to educate himself better.

Just type in the world “Slavery” into Google or go to the library, they have a lot of sections of books that detail how horrible it was.

Secondly, Barkley showed he wasn’t qualified to speak about Eric Garner because he said that he understands why the Grand Jury didn’t indict the officer for murder, because he felt it should have been a lesser charge, like Manslaughter. Anyone with a passing knowledge of the law knows a grand jury has the power to indict on several charges. In Garner case the officer could have been indicted on a lesser charge such as reckless endangerment.

Barkley seems to have it set in his mind that just because people disagree with him, that we are all ignorant race baiting black people and that is so wrong. He also seems to believe we are causing a lot of out problems by being criminals, with a heavy dose of victim blaming.

It's clear that he has been taught nothing about the history of African Americans in this country.

So, arguably not the worst thing ever but strong contender for top 5 and has been more than a little whitewashed to the point that the unvarnished truth about what really went down and the ongoing and perhaps nearly permanent harm of 400 hundred or so of cruel, institutional villainy might well be the worst crime in human history.

While he chokes him to death, and see what charges he faces.

the worst thing ever was, and continues to be, Black folks that delude themselves into believing there was something worse.

I think Harriet Tubman has something to say about this ...

I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.
