Why I post kitteh threads in GD.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by itsrobert (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I didn't see an earlier thread about posting them. I guess I was too busy scouring the interwebs looking only for cute kittehs.

To begin with, I don't do it to annoy people. I don't know if anybody thinks that is my goal.

In posting on DU, I have found that people tend to gravitate to certain forums. GD is the one I am most comfortable in. That doesn't mean I am unwelcome anywhere else, but the response to the same thread draws more reaction here. I think that's because a lot of people who post in GD tend to be mainstays here too.

Because the topics in GD can be unrelentingly serious and grim, I post a laugh or an awww to provide a break. Enough people respond to make it seem desirable. I try to not get carried away, and I believe I post a lot of threads that are very germaine to GD.

As far as wanting attention, believe me if I want attention I can post a 'Come to Jesus rant' that radiates heat through screens.

So there you have it.

Teh Meh Kitteh is dressed up in honor of Title IX Lives.
