Anyone else noticed a slowdown with DU?

This might be just me but has anyone else noticed a thing where, if you have DU open for a while, the rest of your browser slows to a crawl and doesn't improve until you close & reopen the browser?

I'm using Win7 and Firefox, if it makes a difference.

I don't know if it is their system or my internet provider. It passes and life moves along.

I have Windows Vista and use Google Chrome.

My internet provider is Frontier.

I am repeatedly told the lines are too congested and they are working on it.

They tell me they have no idea how long it will be before the issues are addressed.

I have DSL.

Sometimes it is slower than dial-up.
