have to be away from home on the holidays.
The long haul truckers and the military and the medical staff and the retail workers and anyone else who is alone this holiday season.
I remember my Christmas in Vietnam in 1968 and a few Christmases when I was alone without friends or family around.
One year I was jobless and we were losing our home. We had no money for Christmas and on Christmas Eve we walked around the neighborhood looking into the windows of those celebrating then crying ourselves to sleep

It will be strange.
I hope you have a happier holiday this year, upaloopa.
