How strangely different, well, not really, but George H.W. Bush says "I can't breathe" and they call an ambulance. Yet, a black man says
"I can't breathe" and the man dies.....Very strange...Am I being too harsh????

(82,383 posts)There's still a disconnect there. Not the same thing happening. A black man at home who can't breathe will surely get an ambulance - please tell me it's not that bad.

(31,388 posts)We had an episode here in Chapel Hill of an AA high school football player calling
911 after a practice--to his home--and he did NOT get taken to the hospital.
He later died.
I'll see if I can find a link to the story.
OK, it wasn't his ability to not breathe, but he complained of cramps over his whole body and requested
an IV for hydration.
