(55,476 posts)It's not a daily lunch counter type of place, and I would have leftovers for a month
But this is what is commonly referred to as a
"treat"
Initech
(100,223 posts)It's not a place I would frequent by any means unless I was suicidal (which I'm not) but just once just to try.it couldn't hurt. I wouldn't eat anything before or after.

(55,476 posts)Once a month I get 4 slices of bacon on a burger, alongside real cheddar cheese and REAL ground beef (no pink slime here!)

(100,223 posts)I'll stick with In-N-Out or my new favorite is a So Cal chain called "The Habit"
Taverner
(55,476 posts)But In-N-Out is hands down the better burger and fries.
Also, if you're ever in San Jose be sure and hit Kirk's Steakburgers
And Mojoburger

(154,021 posts)This means I can have the burger even with gluten allergy. And a burger warped with lettuce and tomato and fries s not that bad calorie wise.

(68,918 posts)Sorry, I don't get the "cache'" that place gets. Twice I've tried them, twice they have been truly, utterly horrible.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)We don't have them here. I'm happy we have a Taco Bell, and it is too far away LOL. It isn't even in bicycling distance.

I, for one, can't stand KFC
And I go for Popeye's every time instead

(6,811 posts)fries are yak. burgers are mediocre at best. animal style is vastly overrated. done enough in n out burger that i vowed never to waste my money on their crap again. at least McD's still has killer fries (not as beautiful as the divine double fried in beef tallow fries of the 80s, but we'll never get something from the celestial plane like that again...)
and 5 Guys is just a more expensive, slightly less tasty version of Nations burgers, with nasty french fries.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)I haven't had lunch yet, and I would be THRILLED if that was on the plate.

(45,120 posts)That explains it. I don't know of any restaurant that allows smoking
I'm pleased others smell the aroma surrounding said story.

(82,849 posts)Honestly, there is absolutely nothing on this good earth that someone, somewhere won't abuse, whether it's tobacco, food, speed, or practically anything else you can name. Yeah, let's legalize all drugs! Brilliant! I'm just itching to spend the rest of my life going to funerals of people who can't stop, won't stop. Shit, we can't even handle Coca-Cola or hamburgers responsibly. "Gee whiz, lookit this here dumb warning on a blow dryer: 'Do not use in bath or shower.' Like someone would do such a thing!" Yeah, they would, which is why the manufacturer had to put a label on its product to warn people about it.

(10,437 posts)How many people eat there?
How many people have heart attacks?
How many people have heart attacks at venues of any kind visited by the same number of people?
But it's better to snottily preen about others' "lesser" eating choices.
Couple of people playing pro soccer had heart attacks recently didn't they? In a shorter time span too. Far fewer people and hours spent doing that than eating at this place I would imagine. Maybe we should get all superior about idiots chasing a ball around and killing themselves eh?

(6,811 posts)but then i also think a good margarita deserves its own space as well, with nearby placed warm tortillas and pico de gallo. a burger like that deserves a massive cherry coke chilled to a perfect 4 degrees celsius. oh, and double fried fries fried in beef tallow, slightly dark and crunchy whilst glistening with a nimbus of sacred grease -- and fresh mayo, ketchup, and mustard nearby so as to create your favorite fry sauces to taste. and then i will roll on it, roll ecstatic upon the starchy ambrosia...
