I don't disagree with anything you've said, but I do think it would be politicized. merrily Jan 2015 #7

If he really is for those things, as his supporters claim - then why duck them? It would be so simple to acknowledge them.

Or should I say, more politicized?

Who should eat and on whose dime, what they should eat, how what they eat should be labeled, etc. already are highly politicized subjects. Similar issues arise in connection with hydration and air.

(This post is partly tongue in cheek but only partly.)

People with a lick of common sense would take it at face value. The knee jerk reaction crowd is anything but unpredictable. Their visceral reaction to behave in contrarian ways, no matter what and without a single reflective thought, would do a lot of good for the rest of us.

Just look at Michelle Obama's garden and her campaign to get kids moving.

Those both have been mocked and maligned and not even on the level that I ascribed to politicizing eating, hydrating and breathing.

PS I didn't say a thing about people being offended. Politicizing something doesn't reuire being offended.

In short order people would be getting very thirsty and gasping for air. Remember, we here in the US have this thing called 'capitalism'!
