It was kind of common back in the day. "Money doesn't grow on trees" - moms and dads everywhere.

If it might get wet and you didn't want it to, put it in a bread bag.
Can't remember what all my mother used them for, but I remember they were all over the place, with many a spare folded neatly in the upper right hand kitchen drawer.
