Scott Walker Gets Ridiculed For Highest Job Losses in the Nation

http://www.politicususa.com/ed-schultz-takes-down-scott-walkers-highest-job-losses-in-the-nation.html

Here’s something you have to watch, just for the sheer deliciousness. Ed Schultz takes on Governor Scott Walker’s worst job losses in the country record. But the fun doesn’t stop there. He then brings on Governor Pat Quinn (D-IL) for a little job growth schadenfreude.

In case you block out most of what Scott Walker says, just a month ago Walker was mocking the Illinois Governor and “breaking his arm patting himself on the back” over his policies. But alas for poor Scott, today, the Wisconsin State Journal ran with this headline:

“Wisconsin job losses highest in nation for last 12 months, federal report says.” Oh. OH. Oh.

Job creators. Uh huh.

... after all, Scott was an Eagle Scout and his daddy is a minister. That's all you need to know.

Where you come from may have some bearing on what you become but it is possible to sink below or rise above the world that raised you.

Many seem to be interested only in getting rich or getting into their parishioners skirts...or pants....

He decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a minister, too.

He defrauded his flock and took off for parts unknown with the dough and the wife of one of his church members.

Hi, Randy!

I don't have TV so thank you so much for posting that! And to our IL friends, this Michigander is extremely envious of you regarding your Governor! He was great!

"job loss numbers" ------> High

and

"unemployment percentage" -------> Lower than it has been.

But that can be at least partly explained by how they compile the
labor statistics.

In the border regions near Illinois and Minnesota (and I suppose
da YU-Pee), Wisconsinites are sometimes able to find work across
the state line. Those become "new jobs" that get counted for our
neighboring state, but it's one more worker who's 'stopped looking
for work' in Wisconsin.

That's the number to bring up, because the other side automatically
assumes those are just people too lazy or useless to find jobs.

If you look at a map, with the Twin Cities and N. Chicago areas
so close for commuting Wisconsinites, there are no big Wisconsin
job hubs drawing people from those states. (If there were any new
jobs here for those people to be attracted to.) It's something that's
been going on for a while but whenever times are tough locally,
people are more willing to travel farther to find work.

Just you wait and see...
The only reason it did not trickle down from Reagan is that he did not give them enough....and same for Bush.
But the next time it will work I swear it.

12. Ed tried to feed a big softball pitch to Pat Quinn

but either Pat chose to look it in or swung and missed. Ed wanted Pat to claim that increasing taxes on the job creators does not increase unemployment, but rather, the opposite (which is clearly true... basic game theory would show that would be the case). But Pat either missed the signal or didn't want to go there. From watching the interview, it seemed like Pat was being diplomatic and didn't want to completely trash Walker and decided not to go there.

Sensible decision, but shows the inherent weakness of Democrats: a lack of a spine.

But there exists a subset of conservadems that have always made standing up to the repugs on economic issues difficult. This group argues in favor of cutting the aristocrat tax (also known as the estate tax) and supports right wing tax cut drek. Granted we lost more than a few of them in the 2010 election cycle but they are are still out there and even while they lose in the generals they argue their losses (compared to the moderate and progressive democrats hanging in there) are the result of being too liberal.
