America tweeted about Ferguson more than any other news story in 2014:http://www.vox.com/2014/12/29/7463663/twitter-news-2014
Other data collected, including what liberals vs conservatives tweeted about the most. The frequency of "benghazi", "guns", "Israel" and "ebola" in the conservative column (2nd chart down) is interesting - and in the next chart, what conservatives tweeted about more than anything else was "guns". The final comment is interesting too: "Liberal activists were 3.09x more likely to tweet about the GOP than conservatives, while conservative activists were 2.11 more likely to tweet about President Obama than liberals."
