Followed by about 1 year of bad jokes.

Followed by another 10 years of "Do you remember that scandal?"

Followed by another 10 years of becoming soccer-trivia.

1. It happened right before the biggest tv/sporting event of the year
2. It involves a top team.
3. It attacks the massive hubris of Brady and Belichick
4. It allows the mainstream to make "ball" jokes, double entendres, and other ball-related play on words.
