http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/S-F-public-defender-detained-outside-court-6046088.phpThe following is a comment from my friend who is a lawyer in San Francisco...which really adds some light to this.
So, even in San Francisco, we can count on cops being assholes and making up the law as they go along.

I do agree though that they have opened themselves up for a lawsuit from the attorney and to be honest they deserve it imo.

(6,943 posts)The police must act reasonably in situations like the one above. It is not unreasonable to think that a person standing outside a courtroom may already have an attorney.

(33,688 posts)the Geheime Staatspolizei. This is outrageous but exactly what can be expected from here on out, I am afraid. The kkkops do not stand for being questioned by anyone anymore and that includes attorneys.
Fuck the kkkops.

(2,943 posts)Second, stop calling it police intimidation. It is police breaking the law, i.e. a criminal.
How many times have you heard someone arrested for 'Interfering with an Investigation" and "Resisting Arrest"? That is what the lawyer was arrested for, now see it before your eyes. A classic example of how the police lie to get their way...
Sargent Brian Stansbury is not above the law, he is a citizen of this nation. Citizens of this nation do not have the right to break the law whenever and however they feel like it. Fire and arrest this asshole!!!
