Mumbai has been the name of the city since the mid 90s. More to the point is Shreya a scientist? Where is the link showing the chemicals in cigarette smoke are the same as the chemicals in Mumbai's air? I guess I missed that.

Nothing about the chemicals in cigarettes compared to air.

I have been to India (after they changed the name of the city, so apparently after the lady in the OP was there) and yes it has bad air in major cities like most Asian countries. The comparison with cigarettes is just junk science or more accurately non-science.
