texas school district finds poop on floor. separates kids by gender and inspects underwear

Nearly two-dozen elementary school students were reportedly forced to undergo an underwear inspection after feces were repeatedly found on their gymnasium's floor.

The partial strip search performed in the small town of Gustine, Texas, on Monday has since led to outrage by both students and their appalled parents.

"I felt uncomfortable and I didn't want to do it," 11-year-old Eliza Medina told KHOU. "I felt like they violated my privacy."

Eliza's mother, Maria Medina, said the students were separated by gender before they were ordered to "pull down their pants to check them to see if they could find anything," she told the station.

Eliza said she tried to protest the search but was told it was mandatory.

This was totally inappropriate. They need to look at what the kids have to do to be able to use the toilet. I remember asking for and being denied permission because "you ask every day at the same time, what is wrong with you?"

What was "wrong" is that my body needed to defecate then.

what the girls have to go through every month when they become teenagers, or before, which mandates bathroom visits.

I still remember arguing with my orchestra teacher about having to go to the bathroom during the break at noon before his class. I should have thrown a dirty pad on his desk, He threatened to get me suspended for being late to class. I told him to speak to my mother about it, and he backed down. My mother said, "He's got a wife and he's got a daughter. He should know about those things."

I still won't speak to him because of him threatening to write me up after I told him I HAD to go to the bathroom at noon.

I've read stories of kids being denied bathroom privileges and pooping and peeing in the wastebasket. Serves the damned control freaks right.

That will be a costly inspection. Would have saved them a lot of money to just clean up the poop and move on.

Yay Texas!

It's their fault that a child is pooping in the gym. And inspecting underwear won't help; some kids aren't good wipers or don't get clean underwear every day.

I hope the parents sue and win.

Whoever made this decision is in desperate need of psychological evaluation.
