Jeb Bush's Response To Romney: 'I'm Sure Today's Decision Was Not Easy'

-snip-

Here's Bush's full statement:

Mitt Romney has been a leader in our party for many years. There are few people who have worked harder to elect Republicans across the country than he has. Though I’m sure today’s decision was not easy, I know that Mitt Romney will never stop advocating for renewing America’s promise through upward mobility, encouraging free enterprise and strengthening our national defense. Mitt is a patriot and I join many in hoping his days of serving our nation and our party are not over. I look forward to working with him to ensure all Americans have a chance to rise up.

Columba and I wish Mitt, Ann and their entire family the very best.

I am certain that the party with that wants to stomp on a human face forever does not intend to improve the circumstances of their lessors.

So, was Jeb Bush referring to revolution in that last line of the paragraph above? That could be taken as giving us a chance to rise up in revolt and I can't argue with that. Maybe not so much of a chance as an inspiration.

Could Rmoney be Jeb's VP running mate. With Jeb out at a fast pace raising so much money early - did they see that Rmoney's money joined together with what Jeb is getting - could be enough to beat the Koch's money and ultimately win the Repug nomination?

Tune in tomorrow and find out.

Romney would be glad to be the veep at this stage in his life.

his VP. Possibly not even one of the contestants thus far. They mostly wear monkey suits and do stunts just to get noticed and to raise a few bucks. He doesn't need Rubio, because his wife is full Mexican and can campaign for him in native Spanish.

He'll choose a Moderate, IMO, because his selection somewhat marginalizes the floundering Tea Party, and could cut into some of Clinton's territory. Maybe someone like Jon Huntsman. Doubt it will be a woman.

Thus Hillary needs Julian Castro. Last election was about the rise of our Black brethern to power...thanks, Obama. This one will be about women and Hispanics...and could lock in a Democratic Era that can then get us back to some of the Liberal/Progressive Social Democracy we started losing with Reagan. It's time. We've got a great cast coming out...Sanders,Warren to begin to address and now have the power to possibly somewhat thwart the growing corporatocracy

Then Julian Castro...from a Far Left background (Mama Castro was a member of LA's La Raza) to a politically correct Liberal such as is possible, and he's charismatic and young with a great family...including his equally adorable twin brother who will likely be out there stumping. And as it becomes PC for Democrats, more will show up or lean left.

I, like many here, have waited decades for my party to start moving in my direction. I feel encouraged.

She's certainly said many things we don't like. But her position, money and power trump those, at least thus far.

I can't imagine anyone, at least in the current R lineup, who could pose a significant challenger? And it looks like Mitt may throw at least some of his support Jeb's way.

I guess this is the real test of the GOP if they can fend off that faction...nasty primary coming up. Incidently, The most recent clip I saw of him, I swear he had makeup on. His usually kind of pocked face was smooth as baby skin.

Any clues about Mitt's sudden departure and his not-so-cryptic bashing of all in the current field...Walker?

that was clear a few weeks ago. With most other candidates, I would have written his epitaph right there, but Mitt has the ability to self finance. The only question was whether he was willing to blow several hundred million of his own dollars in the effort.

His bowing out was the answer to that question.

of at least part of his family. So his farewell speech was to try to move some toward "anyone but Jeb and the other establishment/TP candidates". They mentioned it was a decision made or influenced by Bain Capital.

I would have called it then except that Mitt could have self funded. It looks like he doesnt want the Presidency enough to spend $100 million to $200 million of his own money.
