Floridians! Family member needs healthcare info please!!!

Found out today that my brother in law needs surgery as a disc compression is costing him the use of both arms. Problem is, he does rescue work for exotic birds and thus has no insurance. What are the options in Florida..if any? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I heard there are "public" facilities in Florida? Not sure if I'm saying that right. Places developed for uninsured patients?

I just spent a week in the hospital and the whole thing was written off under their charity plan. I just got approved for state Medicaid today to treat my newly diagnosed chronic diseases.

Check the religious hospitals first and go in through the ER.

In Jax we have a few: St Vincent and a system of Baptist Medical Centers. Pick one of those and get treatment soon. Pay later if at all.
