‘Group-Thinking’ the World into a New War

https://consortiumnews.com/2015/01/30/group-thinking-the-world-into-a-new-war/

Exclusive: The armchair warriors of Official Washington are eager for a new war, this time with Russia over Ukraine, and they are operating from the same sort of mindless “group think” and hostility to dissent that proved so disastrous in Iraq, reports Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

If you wonder how the lethal “group think” on Iraq took shape in 2002, you might want to study what’s happening today with Ukraine. A misguided consensus has grabbed hold of Official Washington and has pulled in everyone who “matters” and tossed out almost anyone who disagrees.

Part of the problem, in both cases, has been that neocon propagandists understand that in the modern American media the personal is the political, that is, you don’t deal with the larger context of a dispute, you make it about some easily demonized figure. So, instead of understanding the complexities of Iraq, you focus on the unsavory Saddam Hussein.

Oh, and continue to silence the truth here. We will all stand together for the truth and fight against neocons every step of the way, whether in government, or trying to silence dissent just like the US police state does with arrests and incarceration.

Affecting the country. On the ISIS problem I am thinking total annihilation just may be the answer. I don't know if rehabilitation would work for them but it is going to have to be a world wide effort and not leaving this to the US. I hate to not create any mercy think annihilation is the answer but these folks does not have a country in which sanctions would be effective and the capture of women and children for the troop's pleasure does not provide a humanitarian reason to allow them to continue.

Im very interested to know what you would want as an end game. When will we win? What do you see as the final goal?

And not justified. I doubt the leaders would ever want to sit down and give up their mission ergo leaving only one answer. The women they have kidnapped deserves much better than enslaved to these barbarians.

That company named an oil tanker after Condoleeza Rice.

"But that was over 20 years!"

Exactly. DC has been pouring money into a country for 20 years. None of this spent money will ever benefit a single member of the 99%. Some might call it treason.

This guy doesn't call it treason, he calls it a good paycheck

Of course it won't influence those drooling at a war with Russia.
Nothing spells disaster like a 3rd world war ( with nukes of course).
