I moved this winter. While I was gone today my friends dropped off some stuff I had stored in their garage. One thing they left in the back yard was my trusty protest sign:

8. On my old car I had an Ann Richards sticker.

And somebody came up and WROTE on it. Back in the 90s.
And somebody tore one of the legs off the Darwin Fish I had on the same car. And that was when I lived in the big city that was somewhat liberal!

I had a bunch of stickers on that car. People probably got confused between
"Friends Don't Let Friends Vote Republican" and "I Heart Opera-Houston Grand Opera".



Now I live in the country and it's much worse.

10. Back in the day...

You could get them for becoming a paying member. Not sure when that stopped happening.

Edited to add.... There used to be other things too (calendars etc.). But it seems to me there was an issue with the vendor (cafepress maybe?)
