Are We Finally Seeing Three Dimensional Chess Being Played?......

I'm thinking that the Repugs wanted this whole issue of tax cuts & unemployment compensation to come up again just before the Nov 2012 election. I'm thinking they wanted to embarrass Obama and the Dems and make this an issue at that time hoping that they would score some points with the American people.

This 2 month extension pushes this discussion now down the road to February at which time it will be opened up again and the political wrangling will begin again. Only this time Obama and the Dems have the Repugs on record as saying they wanted a 1 year extension.

Using their own words against the Repugs in Feb a one year extension - if it passes - effectively pushes the whole controversy past November thereby removing it as a tool to be used by the Repugs just before election time.

Are we finally seeing some three dimensional chess being played? Did Obama and the Dems just play the Repugs on this?

Also - why are the Repugs so intent on making Obama a 1 term President? What are they afraid of during his second term?

but it's all about power to all of them...not JUST the Repubs...there is almost no one in D.C. there to serve US ... only to serve themselves...

hate the idea of a Reagan of the left, inspiring the imagination of the nation. Changing even the language for a decade or more.

They really do hate the idea that even if they are good girls and boys, demographics tells us that they will be less than clear majority.

They are frightened old white people. They really do hate how the future marches on.
