man shoveling snow falls for nine seconds

Am I bad for laughing?

---!

One unfortunate man’s epic struggle to keep his balance while shoveling snow has captured America’s attention, as it sums up pretty well our collective agony this winter.

The nine-second video begins relatively innocently, as the man seems to be clearing a path on a sidewalk.

And then all hell breaks loose as he starts flailing desperately after slipping on ice. In an instant, he loses his balance and tries to save himself by using the shovel for support.

The man’s valiant attempt to regain his balance seems to almost succeed, but the plastic shovel eventually slips and slides right off of the ice.

And, yes, it's hilarious, but he doesn't "actually" fall. He stumbles for nine seconds. Their headline was wrong.

BTW, I slipped on ice outside my house and it took me at least two minutes to stand back up and I wasn't even hurt.

I did something similiar recently, but in the end I did fall down. I sat there and laughed because I know it had to look funny.

I forgot something inside, and my dumb ass started to run back into the house. I lost my balance and started to fall forward, but it was a slow fall forward; my arms were flapping in the wind!

I knew I was going down, so I tried to brace myself. Eventually I fell head first, barely missing the front step. Fell into the grass, onto a pile of snow.

I wish someone had filmed it because it would have been so funny to watch.

it's mud.

You would have loved to see the video our yard cams got of me the day I went out back to fill the deer feeder and fell in a nasty mixture of mud and deer shit.

"Slip and fall" can have other outcomes.

But this one is a hoot!

I'll bet there are all kinds of near-misses going on out there. That icy surface underfoot is NOT to be trifled with!!! My boys are not out touring at the moment. I'm relieved! They've unfortunately had quite a taste of some of that misery on the road in past years. They were touring through the Northeast with another band during Storm Nemo. SHEESH!!!! There've been shows they actually could not get to because their little Sprinter was no match for the rough weather. They haven't yet reached the level of touring in one of those big tour buses with the licensed professional drivers onboard. One local promoter asked what they were driving when I called ahead to ascertain what they might be facing. He advised us to skip it altogether. I'll never forget what he said - "they MIGHT be able to get here. MAYBE. But even if they do, they WON'T be able to get back out."
