Tell your Democratic members of Congress to uphold Pres Obama's veto of KXL
This week, President Obama vetoed his first bill from the Republican Congress: The Keystone XL pipeline.
*Nine Senate and 28 House Democrats voted with Republicans before President Obama vetoed it-including one of your Democratic members of Congress. We need these Democrats to stand with the president when House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell bring this bill up for a veto override vote next week.*
Make no mistake, a veto override would be disastrous. NASA climate scientist James Hansen has called Keystone the "fuse to the biggest carbon bomb on the planet," saying it would be "game over" for the planet.
