(30,058 posts)Doubt it, was probably afraid the bin laden family would stop financing the Bush family. Rumor has it Osama also visited the Bush ranch in west Texas before Salem bin Laden died in a plane crash in west Texas. Bush and Saudi was very tied together.

(44 posts)Bootsie Bush used a super carrier as a campaign prop when he did that. He had them stay out at sea an extra day just so he could land on the deck and make that speech.

(17,656 posts)I wonder how much "Sesame Street" you watched when you were younger.
As for me, I watched it for 4 years after it first started and they started carrying a public television channel here in 1969 or 1970.
And I watched "Electric Company" after the Sesame Street program.
I even remember Easy Reader, and how his being cool about reading influenced all of the kids I was babysitting at the time.
A lot of them went on to learn to love reading, and many of them graduated from college as a result of Morgan Freeman being that character on tv for children's programming!!
I'll bet he doesn't even realize the full impact of playing that character.
And if I remember correctly, funding was provided by some grant from a station in Boston, Massachusetts, WBCH or something like that.
I particularly liked The Count, myself.

(76,703 posts)I think your forgetting the premise of the flight deck episode. Hence, the comparison is not apt.

(36,649 posts)But when Obama timidly reminds us the he's actually the guy who got bin Laden, the GOP starts whining about politics.

Snuff out an innocent here or an innocent there? Oh well, war is hell for you! Ahahahahahaha!!!! But not for me! You and your family don't even exist because I don't see you on my TV.
