Every Election Thereafter
If President Bush gotten Osama Bin Laden every election thereafter would have been filled with ads discussing the facts that OBL was brought to justice by Bush, a Republican and Bill Clinton, a Democrat had failed to get the job done. That would then be used as the main reasons people should continue to vote for Republican candidates.
Republicans are not upset that this issue has been politicized. They are upset that they do not get to use the issue to promote themselves.
