My letter to Tom, aka Traitor, Cotton.

Dear Senator Cotton,

You have once again proven you are utterly unsuited to be in the US Senate. Your lack of knowledge of protocol and conduct has now been exposed to the rest of the world. You are an embarrassment to Arkansas. I really hope you get a ton of contributions from your Koch friends in the defense industry for attempting to provoke another useless, budget-busting war in the Middle East.

Sincerely

2. Good for you, though I doubt he will read it. Saxby chambliss, and the other loonies who signed

that letter should be censured at a minimum, but none of that will happen.

9. Saxby Chambliss didn't sign it - he's not in the Senate anymore

Unfortunately (and as hard as it is to believe) a tea-bagger that's even worse has taken his place - David Perdue.

4. Here's mine to my newly elected junior senator.

3/10/15

I was sorry to see you start your senatorial career by showing such profound disrespect for the office of the Presidency by signing onto a letter that undermines the work that President Obama and other world leaders are trying to accomplish with Iran. We don't need another war in the Middle East and watching the GOP beat the hornet's nest like a group of immature adolescents, instead of behaving like adults was sickening. With the exception of your self-absorbed selves, you look like spoiled brats to the entire world.

Six years is a long time, but know this Mr. Gardner, come 2020, I will work hard & diligently to remove you from office.

You will hear from me again, I'm sure.

=====
The GOP is a disgrace & I'm about at the point where I don't even want to be friends with people who would vote for these assholes.

6. Can I borrow that?

It's so well written and appropriate that I can imagine sending it with only changing the name to my newly minted [strike]shit-for-brainz bigot[/strike] Jr. Senator from my state.

7. Absolutely.

I used to write to Mark Udall all the time. I suspect that there will be even more letters to Gardner. For all the good it will do.

11. Love the letter but I like Tom 'Tehran Tom' Cotton.

It's the best way to keep him connected to forever infamous Letter to Iran.

15. I'm in Mississippi

and both of mine are Republicans, but at least one of them had the sense God gave a billy goat not to sign the letter. I assure you, both of them heard from me. One to laud him for not being stupid enough to sign it, and the other to get an earful of how idiotic I thought it was.

If a Republican Senator from Mississippi, of all places, is smart enough to respect the office of the President, then the idiots that signed it should be absolutely ashamed of themselves to be shown up by a Republican Senator of Mississippi.

17. I still can't believe that that idiotic letter was signed by 47 Senators.

They are so far into the hate bubble that they've lost all touch with reality and common sense. It's only after they pull a dumbass stunt like this and get vilified for it do they wake up and say whoops. They are terrifying. Now they're trying to pass it off as some sort of joke and it's somehow all Obama's fault. It's the same myopic mentality that convinced them that Romney was going to trounce President Obama in 2012. Glad one of your senators has his head on straight and I'm glad you wrote to both of them. Oh, and I didn't mean to cast aspersions on Mississippi, but Michigan is looking a lot more like your very red state these days than the one blue/purple I've lived in my whole life.

13. Cotton, and every other signer of this repugnant letter...

... SHOULD be prosecuted under the Logan Act. The law's wording is very clear and concise, and there is ZERO wiggle room for even the oiliest of them to slither out of it. Yeah, I'm looking at YOU, Cruz!

But, as we recently saw with the treasonous Petraeus, there is a grotesque double standard that protects Washington insiders from having their social schedules interrupted by any of the legal unpleasantness to which we, the Great Unwashed, would certainly be subjected, were we to undertake such subversive action to undermine a diplomatic initiative.

I could almost understand such action to prevent a war, but to try and START one? The Republicans have overplayed their hand, and proven, beyond any hope of redemption, what malignant assholes they really are.
