Please convince me Obama will change this idiotic war stance....

After he wins reelection.

I can think of no other reason to spend money on this mess for years to come.

I really hope it's just to cover his ass against the "cut and run" idiots!

People want to believe in Obama so hard that they're willing to overlook his awful handling of the financial crisis, his failure to address looming environmental issues, his wars-- which are crimes against humanity-- his sell out of real health care reform, and so on.

I'm just finishing up Suskind's Confidence Men, which certainly doesn't help improve my opinion of Obama's leadership skills....

It is not cast in stone - and subject to congressional oversight.

I believe.

The only thing that is fixed is the timetable for withdrawal of regular forces.

It goes directly into the pockets of a tiny, but filthy rich faction of the population, and they give a lot of money to politicians.
